On-site training course on Phonics
This course on teaching reading and writing in English is designed for both Pre-primary and Primary teachers. The aim is for participants to learn about synthetic phonics, a methodology through which children are taught to read letters or groups of letters by saying the sound(s) they represent, and to read words by blending (synthesising) the sounds together to make a word. Through this approach, students are taught to read and write in English in a way that is natural to them.
